The real star here is their Nine Boxes Spicy Pot, a specialty that skilfully balances fiery heat and rich complexity, perfect for those craving that authentic Sichuan numbing spice sensation. For guests who prefer variety, the popular Half & Half Pot lets you savor the best of both worlds—one side spicy and bold, the other milder and mushroom-infused, creating an ideal harmony. Each simmering pot is an invitation to gather around, dipping fresh meats, vibrant vegetables, and handcrafted delicacies into the bubbling broth.

Speaking of handcrafted delights, Shancheng Lameizi’s Homemade Shrimp Paste is a must-try—delicate, tender, and bursting with umami, it melts into the broth with an intoxicating aroma. Equally noteworthy is the Beef Tripe, stir-fried with chili oil and spices, offering a delightful chew and a deep, savory kick that leaves you wanting more. Other standouts include the crispy yet tender Crispy Fried Pork, the tender Tender Chicken Fillet (a customer favorite), and the intriguing Square Bamboo Shoot, which brings a gentle, soy-sauce-infused earthiness to the feast.

Beyond the main dishes, guests appreciate the thoughtfully curated sauce bar, a vibrant station where an array of dipping sauces is complemented by sweet treats like pumpkin sesame balls and coconut jelly—served complementary to round out the meal with a touch of gentle sweetness. This thoughtful addition amplifies the dining experience, allowing diners to personalize each bite and cleanse the palate with subtle delights.

The interior of Shancheng Lameizi exudes an inviting, old-school charm with spacious seating that comfortably accommodates groups large and small. Nice spacious room with oriented old-school interiors. Food is overall tasty, well presented and authentic. Especially amazed by the counter next to the sauce bar where sweet treats are served free! Enjoyed the meal as party of two but it would also be ideal for a larger party to try out much more variety of the food. Come in early/prior to the peak mealtime if you’d like to avoid the wait. 鴛鴦鍋/牛肉雙拼/竹箏蝦滑/大腐皮/茼蒿/功夫魚片

The Food Have not had hot pot for a while, and a friend recommended Shan Cheng La Mei Zi so we decided to give it a try. They mentioned they quite enjoyed their side dish that they offer. We ordered their split soup base with spicy and mushroom. We also had their Beef Combo and Vegetable Combo, along with some a la carte items. The quality of the ingredients was pretty good and presented nicely. But I can see why my friend was hyping about the side dishes. They have a variety of snacks and side with their sauce bar to go alone with the meal. There are items such as hawthorns, shrimp chips, jellies, etc.. It was a nice snack and appetizer to go along with the meal. It was an enjoyable experience and I would recommend trying at least once. The Miscellaneous Shan Cheng La Mei Zi is inside a large plaza, so there is a good amount of parking. The restaurant itself had some nice interior design aesthetics. Their menu has a good selection of items. But I was more impressed with their selection of snacks and side dishes. It was a nice addition to the meal. Their service was also good, no complaints there. This was an interesting hot pot experience, and I would like to return to try out their other selections.

A good variety of appetizer dishes and sauces at the sauce bar! Pumpkin sesame balls and coconut jelly were both really good! Fatty beef slices were VERY fat so only order it if you are okay with that. Medium spicy broth was not very spicy and the taste was just okay. Service and atmosphere were both excellent!

We came here on a Friday night and it was just before the dinner rush so the wait was only about 10mins. We ordered the 9-square spicy (normal) soup and it tasted alright. The meat, fish, and shrimp paste were great as well as the beef tripe combo (tribe, throat etc). The combos were a great value as it’s not too much of one item and you get to try more things. Our overall experience was pretty good. It’s pretty much self-serve (sauce /snacks bar) were re-stocked and cleaned pretty frequently. There’s also more variety of snacks compared to Haidilao. The staff was efficient but don’t expect them to come too frequently to check in on you. We had a great time and would consider coming back and glad to have another option for authentic Sichuan hotpot.

Excellent experience! The food was great and the price was very reasonable. There was a variety of snacks to choose from and they were all very delicious. The price was cheaper than HDL hotpot.

authentic Sichuan hot pot with many unique items such as goose intestines, beef tripes, and pig brains. Highly recommend the shrimp stuffed bamboo fungus, beef strips, Chinese yam wide noodle, and fish fillets. Great side dish, dessert selections.
